Hello All,
It's been some time since you heard from us and you are probably wondering what the team has been up to!
Well the School has been busy with a whole host of activities that have been planned till the end of the year and beyond. The student powered Media and Communications Club is planning many events this year and next to make sure that media students experience in MDIS is an enriching one. You probably have seen the Radio unit doing their recruitment exercises for their team in the canteen. If you want to be part of the TV, Radio, Publishing or the Events unit within MCC. please drop an email to Ms Amanda at amanda_tayml@mdis.esdu.sg.
As part of its ethos of helping students in their career advancement plans, the faculty conducted a half day workshop on the media industry for Students from Mendaki. The workshop entailed Television and Radio production as well as creative thinking. The students thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience they recieved and are now considering the media industry as a career option.
We are also encouraging students (through BlackBoard announcements) to attend industry based events that would be happening in and around Singapore. These events are important for networking and getting to know the industry better.
The School is also looking aggressively for internship opportunities for our students. Students whom are keen to pursue such opportunities should drop an email to Ms Su Yan at suyan_hong@mdis.edu.sg
Whilst the School does try its best to discover and nurture talent, I do hope you will step forward if you believe that you have what it takes to SHINE! We will make sure you do!
Please drop me an email if you have any feeback or need us to look into any matter concerning your academic sojourn in MDIS.
BE INSPIRED, THINK CREATIVE, THINK MDIS

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel “not good enough?
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
In the arms of an Angel, fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of an Angel, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

HMC's presentation is finally over~!
TIME TO PAAAARTAYYYYY!
Well, not quite yet. We still have few more to go before we're really done. But still, its one project less.
Three cheers to those who managed to complete their slides at 6am in the morning, on the day of the presentation!
Almost everyone was present on the first day of presentation, be it presenter or not. But the second day? The first group literally had to only present to Ms. Hawabi and a few others only.
Anyway, its over.
OHYES! By the way,
Happy belated birthday, Adam!

As you can see, this blog here is barely half done, we have not change the background yet.
And why? Blogger had actually made changes to newly created account, and the usual HTML won't work here.
But don't worry! Prashanth and I are trying to figure it out ASAP ( although he's the one who is really trying to figure it out. I sucks at HTMLs).
He's our moderator by the way!
So, cheerios people!
AND ROCK ON!
